Group 7 did a great job explaining not only how to make a survey using Google Forms, but also how they can be used in our classrooms. While creating my survey which can be found below, I realized how easy they were to make! I have filled out a google form survey once a week for a long time (timesheet for work), but never made my own. They are very user friendly, and can be a great tool for teachers with minimal time to spare. I think that these surveys can be used for a lot of different things in our classrooms, like Group 7 showed us on their presentation. For example, in my survey that I created, it was a getting to know you activity for the beginning of the year. I asked their favorite subjects, how they liked to learn, and what their favorite extra-curricular activity is. This would be a very simple and fun activity for the beginning of the school year.

I love your idea for using a survey as a "get to know you" activity with your students. I think this would be a great way to do a technological "KWL" chart in a way. I tried to do this within the survey that I created. The sixth grade students I am working with are creating science projects with weather, and they are also learning about clouds. I asked a few questions about what students already know about clouds, what they want to know about clouds, and their personal experience with clouds. I think this would be an easy, fun way to gain some background knowledge on our students.

Luke, I also enjoyed group 7's presentation on the google surveys just like you did. I found it very helpful and I think that they can definitely be used in a classroom, especially in the beginning of the year like you said. This can be a great tool for both the teachers and the students to get to know each other by asking intriguing questions. They are very easy to make and I'm glad we were introduced to this feature because I can totally see myself using it in the classroom.
